WALLDORF - July 31, 2007 - SAP today announced that Volker Merk will take over management of SAP Deutschland AG & Co. KG as new managing director effective October 15.
Stefan Höchbauer, who had been managing director of SAP in Germany, chose to terminate his employment at SAP due to personal reasons effective immediately. Stefan Höchbauer joined SAP in 2005.
Ferri Abolhassan, executive vice president, Large Enterprise, SAP EMEA, will be the interim managing director of SAP Germany.,p> “I certainly regret Stefan Höchbauer’s decision very much,” said Ernie Gunst, Corporate Officer and member of the SAP Executive Council. “I would like to thank him for his great performance at SAP. We shared the same commitment to transform SAP Germany into a central element of our European sales organization.”
Volker Merk has been with SAP for 13 years and has held various international management positions within the company. In his last role, he was managing director of SAP Switzerland.
