SAP Enhances Manufacturing Execution Capability for Discrete Manufacturers; Announces Global Reseller Agreement with Visiprise

June 15th, 2007

SAP Offers Visiprise Manufacturing Business Solution to Help Customers Manage Complex Manufacturing Processes

WALLDORF, Germany and ATLANTA, Ga. - June 13, 2007 - SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) and Visiprise today announced a joint worldwide offering to help discrete manufacturers manage the complex manufacturing processes that define their business. Available today, SAP will resell and market the Visiprise Manufacturing product under the name “SAP® Manufacturing Execution by Visiprise.”

With powerful capabilities for route enforcement, traceability and shop floor quality management combined with integration via the SAP® xApp™ Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (SAP xMII) composite application, Visiprise Manufacturing complements and enhances the existing manufacturing execution capabilities of SAP applications. The combined offering is a Java EE-based, turn-key manufacturing solution that helps customers increase business process efficiency, reduce the cost of quality and ensure compliance with government regulations.

As an “SAP® xApps™ Certified – Powered by SAP NetWeaver®” solution, Visiprise Manufacturing is integrated with SAP applications via SAP xMII. SAP Manufacturing Execution by Visiprise can be purchased directly from SAP.

“The combination of manufacturing capabilities from SAP and Visiprise helps us provide a comprehensive solution for our customers in the discrete industries,” said Sudipta Bhattacharya, senior vice president of Solutions Management for SCM, PLM and Manufacturing, SAP. “Elevating our relationship to the next level provides significant value to customers that want to drive both global coordination as well as local execution across their manufacturing networks.”

In November 2006, Visiprise received an investment from the global SAP NetWeaver Fund. Soon after, in January 2007, Visiprise’s flagship solution – Visiprise Manufacturing – was named an SAP-endorsed business solution. And in February 2007, the Visiprise ERP Shop Floor Integration 1.0 packaged composite application achieved “SAP xApps Certified – Powered by SAP NetWeaver” status.

“It is proven that best-in-class manufacturing companies integrate MES with ERP to provide a complete quality and manufacturing control solution,” said Sean McCloskey, president and CEO, Visiprise. “This partnership will go a long way in providing our discrete customers greater access to the integrated offering.”
