TOLEDO, Ohio - August 08, 2005 - SAP America, Inc. today announced that the city of Toledo, the fourth-largest municipality in the state of Ohio, has selected SAP for Utilities and SAP Managed Services to replace its existing homegrown solution to manage water and wastewater billing and customer operations for more than 130,000 citizens. The water and wastewater departments will implement the scalable SAP® solution within a fixed timeline aimed at generating quick returns.
“The city of Toledo is continuously searching for ways to improve citizen service measures,” said Jack Ford, mayor of Toledo. “With the SAP solution, we have invested in our infrastructure and reformed the IT department, placing our internal operations on technology’s cutting edge.”
